NIce style, VERY POOR FINISHING AND CONSTRUCTION! I originally consistent this piece back in December 2015. After waiting well over a month the dresser arrived damaged, dented, scratched and it didn't help that the delivery personnel added a few more dings after carrying up the stairs during delivery. After contacting Dwell they promptly ordered another dresser and had me hold on to the damaged one until the new one arrived. I was told it would take 2-4 weeks. I was reassured that the next one would be in proper condition and it would be thoroughly inspected before delivery. Two months passed and after a couple of emails and phone calls on my end the new dresser was completely delivered. It had been sitting in the warehouse for over a month! To my surprise the so called “inspected” dresser was worse than the first. Not only did this one have dents as well but the lard were so poorly finished that it looked like cheap wood glue was employment to fill the cicatrix and there were cracks in the sidewalls. Once again I contacted buyer service who asked if I would be willing to wait again for a THIRD delivery attempt. They also asked if I wanted a 'furniture medic” to come out a take a look to perhaps make the repairs. I have very slight confidence in a company that has to such lean quality that they would even suggest a repairman to work on a piece that is suppose to be brand new and without want! Given that I already own the twinned crib I was willing to wait once again for a third and final time. Sadly, not only did the third order take beyond the given time devise and I had to track down the item to set an appointment. Dwell Studio wore me out. I will never purchase any furniture from this company again. The quality is so poor and the finishing is fearful. Dealing with them was extraordinary to say the least. The third dresser arrived in similar fashion to the others…there were scratches and dents and even a crack on the bottom right predicament. As a first time parent with neither the time nor energy to devote to finding another dresser to correspond the crib I decided that this dresser was the “best of the worst” and accepted the item. Following my calls to customer service they did provide a biased refund of about 25% of the original cost, which is not nearly what I should have received given the amount of time and hassle this took. Overall, this piece is sure thing not worth the cost as the quality is not at all there. I had my husband reinspect our crib just to make sure it was stable as it makes me quite solicitous that if the dresser is so poor does that mean the crib is as well? I so dissatisfied with the whole ordeal which in the end took well over 5 months and I still breach up with a sub-par piece. Be warned and take prudence before considering.

For this midcentury commonplace dresser DIY, I selected Valspar Paint in Bronze Storm and Clark + Kensington Paint in Silent White to give my dresser a two-temper look. Rather than go with an all hoary dresser, I added in a neutral and warm tone that brings together vintage with modern perfectly. I you don’t say friendship the tonicity of Bronze Storm because it works really well as an accent piece, but it’s neutral enough to take center stage. It’s also a nod to midcentury design as many pieces have bronze or brass fixtures and hues.

In its hey-day Mid-Century Modern furniture was not one to execute it demure kind-wise. Upholstery in cover of saffron, cobalt, and poppy was commonplace. Updated for a new millennium, however; we’re inclined to favor shade-house colors a pelham more than the full-sun showstoppers. Mid-Century shapes look divine when cloaked in emerald, navy, and oxblood velvets. With tables and case goods, opt for pieces with slightly darker finishes and impudence or turquoise hardware or inlays. Unexpected basic or stone will make for a room that reads more double (and glam) than the usual, alert Scandinavian look.
